Leader of the Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, has come out to make it clear that, the “Conservative Party opposes Labour’s decision to hike the taxes that farming families pay when their farm passes from one generation to another.”

She said, “British farmers need our support in the wake of Keir Starmer’s cruel attack on family farms.”
Via a video, Kemi Badenoch said: “Farming is a vital part of the British economy. Farmers work tirelessly all year round to put food on our tables.
“Global conflicts and the threat to trade barriers reminds us that Britain’s food security is essential and we need to grow and eat British food.
“Without our farmers that is impossible. And that is why I am clear that the Conservative Party opposes Labour’s decision to hike the taxes that farming families pay when their farm passes from one generation to another.
“This callous decision threatens everything from our rural economy, to our food security, and to our natural environment.”
