The victory makes it five (5) out of five (5) for Arne Slot’s Liverpool in the UCL 2024/25 – The Reds have defeated AC Milan (3-1 at San Siro on September 17), Bologna (2-0 at Anfield on October 2), RB Leipzig (1-0 at RB Arena on October 23), Bayer Leverkusen (4-0 at Anfield on November 5), and Real Madrid (2-0 at Anfield on November 27).
After a goalless first half, Alexis Mac Allister opened scoring for the hosts in the 52nd minute, and Cody Gakpo sealed victory in the 76th minute.
