Taraba State: Governor Kefas present State’s 2025 Budget to State House of Assembly

Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, has announced, the State’s 2025 Budget – ‘Budget of Transformation’ has been presented to the State House of Assembly, before Rt. Hon. John Kizito Bonzena.

The Governor said, “the 2025 budget estimate of over two hundred and sixty-six billion naira, which represents 61.5%, is for capital expenditure”, adding, “this budget encapsulated the vision for a more prosperous, inclusive and sustainable state.”

According to Governor Kefas: “Earlier today, we presented the Taraba State’s 2025 budget – ‘Budget of Transformation’ to the State House of Assembly, before Rt. Hon. John Kizito Bonzena.


The 2025 budget estimate of over two hundred and sixty-six billion naira, which represents 61.5%, is for capital expenditure, while over one hundred and sixty billion naira, representing 38.1%, is for recurrent expenditure.


This budget encapsulated the vision for a more prosperous, inclusive and sustainable state, in order to achieve the moving forward agenda of our administration. 


It was carefully prepared to consolidate the achievements of the 2024 budget, with a strategic focus on education, job creation, infrastructure, agriculture, security, and tourism, among others.


The Taraba Master Development Plan will be the working document of the State in 2025, with budget estimate at

#429,898,968,402.31. 


We are ready and determined to deliver on our promises as we have done steadily, in the months past. While we work round the clock to have a better and prosperous Taraba, I implore Tarabans to support our pro-people initiatives.”
