The Ukrainian President added, “the hardest part is bringing back our children—the young Ukrainians stolen from their families, taken from our temporarily occupied territories to Russia.”

He said, he wants “true peace” for his country.

The fighting between Russia and Ukraine started in February, 2022 following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

According to President Zelenskyy: “It is extremely difficult to bring our people home from Russian captivity, and the hardest part is bringing back our children—the young Ukrainians stolen from their families, taken from our temporarily occupied territories to Russia, and hidden away. No one can say for certain how many there are, but we know there are tens of thousands.

This week, a conference was held in Canada focused on a key point of the Peace Formula: returning all Ukrainian captives, all our deported and stolen people. More than 70 countries and international organizations took part.

Our Bring Kids Back UA initiative is working to make this happen, with support from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, the Vatican, and many other countries.

We want true peace for Ukraine. Justice means bringing everyone home—all those the war tried to rob of their home.”
