President of African Development Bank Group (AfDB), Akinwunmi Adesina, has sent his congratulations to Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala following her appointment as Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO) for a second term.

Adesina prayed, “I wish you continued success in your second term.”
Okonjo-Iweala will lead the WTO for a second term effective 1 September, 2025.
