Manchester United are waiting on fitness of Danish midfielder, Christian Eriksen, ahead of Sunday match against Chelsea at Old Trafford.

Eriksen has been amazing in the Reds’ midfield this season, recording four (4) goals and three (3) assists in eleven (11) appearances, however, was missing in action when interim manager, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, guided Manchester United to a 5-2 triumph over Leicester City in the EFL Cup 2024/25 fourth round match at Old Trafford on Wednesday 30 October, 2024.
The midfielder featured for the Reds for 79 minutes in United’s last top flight encounter against West Ham United, but, was substituted for Joshua Zirkzee after picking up a knock.
When asked about possible changes to the squad from the Foxes encounter, Nistelrooy said: “Not many changes.
“We’re still hoping and working hard to get Christian Eriksen part of the squad. He’s working hard to make it in the last moment.
“And other than that, there’s no news on players that will be available, any other than [Wednesday].”
Seven Reds are now missing in action, they are: Harry Maguire, Kobbie Mainoo, Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, Leny Yoro and now Christian Eriksen.
