It was a win for Enzo Maresca against his former club; the Italian guided Leicester City through the 2023/24 season and pulled them out from Championship into Premier League before moving to Stamford Bridge.
Senegalese forward, Jackson, opened scoring for the Blues in the 15th minute and Enzo Fernandez added the second in the 75th minute before the Foxes netted their consolation in the 5th minute of additional time from the penalty spot through Jordan Ayew.
Fernandez’ goal was his first of the 2024/25 season for Chelsea.
