Ogun State: Governor Abiodun announce handover of 250-bed specialist hospital ‘to reduce medical tourism’

Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has announced the handover of 250-bed Specialist Hospital in Ogun State, a “testament to our dedication to providing world-class healthcare for our people.”

The Governor said, “in partnership with Viewpoint Health Management Services and HealthShare South Africa, the hospital is set to open by mid-2025 with cutting-edge facilities that will reduce medical tourism.”

According to Governor Abiodun: “We are proud to announce the handover of a 250-bed specialist hospital in Ogun State, a testament to our dedication to completing inherited projects and providing world-class healthcare for our people. 


In partnership with Viewpoint Health Management Services and HealthShare South Africa, the hospital is set to open by mid-2025 with cutting-edge facilities that will reduce medical tourism and promote medical research and training.


Our administration remains committed to expanding healthcare access by strengthening primary healthcare systems, enhancing service delivery, and supporting telemedicine initiatives.
