Manchester United has announced the appointment of Ruben Amorim as Head Coach of the Men’s first team, subject to work visa requirements.

Amorim will move to the Theatre of Dreams until 2027 with a club option of an additional year, once he has fulfilled his obligations to his current club, Sporting CP.
He will move to Manchester United on Monday 11 November, 2024.
Interim manager, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, will continue to take charge of managerial duties until Amorim joins.
The Portuguese manager is regarded as one of the most exciting and highly ranked young coaches in European football. Highly decorated as both a player as well as coach.
His titles encompass winning the Portuguese top flight, Primeira Liga, twice with Sporting CP; the first of which was the club’s first title in 19 years.
