NEMA receive 166 vulnerable Nigerians from Libya

National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Lagos Territorial Office received another batch of 166 Nigerian returnees from Libya on Tuesday 5th November, 2024.

The Agency established to manage disasters in Nigeria disclosed, the returnees arrived at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Cargo at 17:30 hours.

According to NEMA: “NEMA Lagos Territorial Office along with other stakeholders received another batch of 166 Nigerian returnees from Libya on Tuesday 5th November, 2024. The returnees arrived at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Cargo at 17:30 hours aboard a Boeing charter flight Al-Burak with registration number 5A: DMG.


They comprised 78 male, 80 female, 4 children and 4 infants. They (returnees) were offered necessary assistance by IOM with support from NEMA, NCFRMI, Nigeria Immigration Service, DSS, Port Health and Nigeria Police.


After the profiling and biometrics exercise, the returnees are expected to be given skilled training as part of the reintegration assistant being offered by IOM.”
