The former United striker described his short stay as interim manager at Old Trafford as “beautiful and fantastic”.

Nistelrooy alongside three (3) other coaching crew members exited the club, as confirmed by Manchester United via a statement; he guided the Reds through four (4) games, clinched three (3) wins and one (1) draw – 5-2 against Leicester City (EFL Cup Round of 16, Wed 30 Oct, 2024), 1-1 against Chelsea (Premier League, Sun 3 Nov, 2024), 2-0 against PAOK FC (Uefa Europa League, Thu 7 Nov, 2024, League Phase), and 3-0 against Leicester City (Premier League, Sun 10 Nov, 2024).

Nistelrooy said: “It was a beautiful moment. To come back to the club, and I’ve started working and then doing the four games, all at home, getting some good results, and some good goals.

“To close it down with this, it’s special. My dad was here, my son. So it was a fantastic moment.”
