Her statement is coming as tensions escalate in Lebanon due to intense fighting between Israel and Hezbollah.
The UNICEF Chief called for urgent ceasefire, saying, “Children in Lebanon need an end to the violence.”
According to Russell: “In the past few weeks alone, at least one child has been killed and ten injured every single day in Lebanon.
Children in Lebanon and across the region need an end to the violence.
They urgently need a ceasefire.”
