On International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, today, Monday 25 November, 2024, Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, wrote: “Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. A day that brings us to remember the news of our days with still many, too many cases of violence and feminicides. A social and cultural plague that does not allow us to look the other way, but that pushes us to reflect and act with every possible action aimed at protecting victims from the abomination of violence.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women 2024 |
“As a Government, since the beginning of our mandate, we have put in place tools for contrast, prevention and safety. A work that must continue in the awareness that the contribution of each of us can make a difference. We must do it in the name of all those who are no longer with us today: mothers, sisters, daughters, friends.
“Every voice raised against violence is a step towards a safer society free from fear.
Remember: you are not alone.”
