Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu |
The ICC has made the decision to issue arrest warrants for Israeli PM, Netanyahu alongside former MOD, Gallant, for “deliberately targeting civilians” in their fighting against Hamas in Gaza.
Via a video, PM Netanyahu responded to the latest move by the ICC against him and Gallant. He said: “The antisemitic decision of the international court in The Hague is a modern Dreyfus trial, and it will end the same way.
Now the International Criminal Court in the Hague headed by a French Judge is falsely accusing me, the democratically elected Prime Minister of the State of Israel and Israel’s former Minister of Defence, Yoav Gallant, of deliberately targeting civilians.
“This one, we’ll do everything in our power to avoid civilian casualties. We issue phone calls, text messages to citizens of Gaza to get them out of harm’s way, while Hamas do everything in their power to keep them in harm’s way, using them as human shields.
“In the last few weeks, Israel facilitated the vaccination of 97% of the people of Gaza against Polio…they are accusing us of genocide in Gaza.
“No war is more just than the war Israel is waging in Gaza.
“The decision to issue arrest warrants against me and our former Defence Minister was made by a rogue prosecutor…”
