Kompany’s statement is coming prior to the top flight match between Bayern Munich and Union Berlin on Saturday afternoon.
Bayern Munich will face Union Berlin in the Bundesliga 2024/25 match at Allianz Arena on Saturday 2 November, 2024 at 15:30 (WAT).
At his press conference ahead of the match, Kompany said:
On Injuries in defence…
“It’s a shame when players aren’t involved, it’s important that the boys are fit. But I have great confidence in all the players. The boys who played at centre-back at Mainz did a very good job. We’ll see tomorrow who can play there.”
On the match against Union Berlin…
“We’re playing at home. Nine of our last 13 matches have been away. It’s finally a home game at the Allianz Arena again. Hopefully our strengths will make the difference tomorrow. We know they’re good in defence and on the counter. They have good communication and know their jobs.”
