An ambulance worker who attempted to kill her boss in a “frenzied” hammer attack following an ongoing row over shifts on a staff rota has been jailed.

46-year old Stacey Smith waited outside her boss’s home in Tameside before the attack which happened in the early hours of 11 November 2023.
Later, Smith sent a text to a friend and said, “I’ve smashed her head in – Oopsie xx”.
According to Police, Smith left her victim with “serious head injuries”.
From Newton Heath in Manchester, Smith was found guilty of attempted murder and jailed for twenty (20) years with a five year licence period to follow.
