Hansi Flick’s Barcelona made light work of Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich, winning 4-1, in the Uefa Champions League 2024/25 League Phase match at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys on Wednesday 23 October, 2024, thanks to a hat-trick by Raphinha.

For the Catalans, Raphinha scored in the 1st, 45th and 56th minutes, and Robert Lewandowski netted in the 36th minute.
Bayern Munich’s consolation came from forward, Harry Kane, in the 18th minute after his first goal in the 10th minute was struck out by VAR.

23 October 2024 was the day that the Catalans finally got their own backs and buried the ghosts of that night of horror in Lisbon four years ago, ironically largely thanks to the very same coach who orchestrated the 8-2 that only now can we speak of again.
