Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, has announced, the Kashimbila Dam has been transferred to KP Hydro Limited through a concession agreement by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The Governor said, “the move is expected to boost Nigeria’s power generation capacity and contribute significantly to meeting the country’s growing energy demands.”
According to Governor Kefas: “Yesterday, the Kashimbila Dam was transferred to KP Hydro Limited through a concession agreement by the Federal Government of Nigeria to boost Nigeria’s renewable energy capacity.
The move is expected to boost Nigeria’s power generation capacity and contribute significantly to meeting the country’s growing energy demands.
General T.Y. Danjuma (rtd.), Prof. Joseph Ustev, Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Naomi Tanko Agbu, Taraba’s Commissioner for Energy and Economic Development, traditional leaders, and other high-ranking government officials attended the event.
The event marks a new chapter in Taraba’s journey towards energy sustainability, bringing hopes of long-term economic benefits and improved livelihoods for its people.”
