The US Presidential Election 2024 is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 5 November, 2024; Donald Trump, Presidential candidate of the Republican Party, and Kamala Harris, Presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, will fight for the Office of the US President.
Biden’s visit to Germany on Friday 18 October , 2024 was extremely brief.
The US President alongside European leaders discussed about the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East in their meeting in Germany.
According to bbc.com:
European defence has been a cornerstone of Biden’s foreign policy – a stark contrast to that of his predecessor, Donald Trump, now a 2024 presidential hopeful.
Biden insisted far more needed to be done: “We must keep going until Ukraine wins a just and durable peace… We must sustain our support.”
The conflict in Ukraine, since Russia’s full-scale invasion, is the worst war this continent has experienced since World War Two.
And as it did 80 years ago, Europe has looked to the US for co-ordinated leadership and military support.
Recent Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities of Poltava, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv have caused the death of more than forty (40) people, incapacitated Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, and destroyed other properties.
So much depends on who emerges victorious in the US Presidential Election 2024 which is less than three (3) away.
