Russia-Ukraine: UK provide additional $3bn to support Ukraine’s military needs

President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has expressed gratitude to the United Kingdom (UK) “for providing Ukraine with an additional $3 billion in financial assistance to support our military needs”.

The Ukrainian President said, the financial assistance “will be repaid using profits from immobilized Russian assets”.

According to President Zelenskyy: “I am deeply grateful to the United Kingdom for providing Ukraine with an additional $3 billion in financial assistance to support our military needs, which will be repaid using profits from immobilized Russian assets.


This important step makes the UK the first G7 country to contribute to the Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration mechanism.


Once again, the UK demonstrates its leadership and stands out as a true friend and partner to Ukraine.”
