Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has consoled Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, over the passing of his wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Umo Eno.

Mrs. Patience Umo Eno died on Thursday 26 September, 2024 “following an illness”, as disclosed by the Akwa Ibom Government.
Governor Fubara also “made a stop at the Ikwerre Local Government Secretariat in Isiokpo, which was recently set ablaze by desperate politicians.”
“Politics is not a do-or-die affair”, Fubara reiterated.
According to Governor Fubara: “Earlier today, I stood alongside my fellow governors to console Governor Pastor Eno Umo of Akwa Ibom State, following the passing of his wife. Our hearts are with him during this difficult time.
“I also made a stop at the Ikwerre Local Government Secretariat in Isiokpo, which was recently set ablaze by desperate politicians. It was quite heartbreaking to see this level of carnage and destruction.
“I must reiterate here that politics is not a do-or-die affair. Politics in Rivers State must be played with dignity and responsibility.”
