The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has cried out about the attacks its members suffered in the hands of thugs, saying it is “totally unacceptable”.

The ‘Umbrella’ Party said, “No amount of intimidation and harassment will stop the people from voting for our Party and our Guber Candidate, @A_AgboolaAjayi.”

We strongly condemn the violent attacks by APC thugs and police in Ward 7, Akure South of Ondo State earlier today on our Party members and supporters who were in a peaceful meeting. This brazen act of intimidation and harassment is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
No amount of violence, intimidation, or harassment will stop the people from exercising their constitutional right to vote for the candidate of their choice, His Excellency, Agboola Ajayi, and our Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on November 16, 2024. The people of Ondo State will not be cowed by these cowardly acts, and their resolve to choose their leaders will only grow stronger.
Such attacks on innocent citizens are a stark reminder of the risks that our democracy faces under the failed All Progressives Congress (APC). It is imperative that the authorities take immediate action to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure that such incidents do not recur.
We stand strongly with the people of Ondo State and reaffirms our commitment to democratic values. We will continue to advocate for free, fair, and peaceful elections, where citizens can exercise their right to choose their leaders without fear or coercion.”
