The Spanish PM said, “there will be no withdrawal of UNIFIL.”
The Israeli PM had earlier called on Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) to withdraw UNIFIL peacekeepers from Lebanon, saying, they are standing in “harm’s way”.
According to PM Sanchez: “Spain strongly condemns Netanyahu’s statement. There will be no withdrawal of UNIFIL.
It is time for the international community to wake up and act decisively.
The international order must be based on the rules that we all give ourselves, not on the strength of a few.”
