Israel V Hezbollah: Ghanaian peacekeepers help evacuate ‘last two residents’ of Qawzah, South Lebanon

United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL) disclosed, the last two residents of Qawzah were evacuated by Ghanaian peacekeepers to Rmeish.

Most South Lebanese have been displaced as a result of the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah, however, the “last two elderly sisters chose to stay in their home as long as they could”, UNIFIL further disclosed.

According to UNIFIL: “On 22 October, Ghanaian peacekeepers helped evacuate the last two residents of Qawzah to Rmeish. Although most south Lebanese have been displaced by conflict, the two elderly sisters chose to stay in their home as long as they could.”
