His announcement is coming in reaction to a tweet by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, which says: “The UK is chartering more flights to help British nationals leave Lebanon.

If you have registered your presence in Lebanon, you will be sent details on how to request a seat.

If you have not already registered your presence, you are urged to do so immediately.”
The FCDO announcement is coming following heightened tensions in Lebanon as a result of intense fighting between Israeli forces and Hezbollah.
Lammy quoted @FCDOGovUK ‘s tweet and commented: “A third UK government charter flight has left Lebanon to help British nationals leave.

The situation is volatile. Flights are limited but seats are available.
