Spanish PM Sanchez disclosed, “We agree that a ceasefire must be imposed immediately in Gaza and Lebanon.”
Israel is fighting a multi-front war against Palestinian fighters, known as Hamas, in Gaza, and against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The fighting continues to intensify with tens of thousands of people killed in the Gaza Strip.
In Gaza, the humanitarian situation has deteriorated enormously with the region recording cases of Polio.
COGAT has made known more than 150,000 children have been vaccinated against the virus which is transmitted through contaminated water or food, or contact with an infected person.
Citizens of Lebanon are fleeing the country following heightened tensions as a result of the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah.
According to PM Sanchez: “Today I met with the Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, with whom I discussed how to boost our bilateral relations.
We also talked about the dramatic situation in the Middle East.
We agree that a ceasefire must be imposed immediately in Gaza and Lebanon, and that we must move towards a political process that will make the two-state solution a reality and put a definitive end to the conflict.
Arabs and Europeans must join forces for peace.
Together, our voice is stronger.”
