The Jewish calendar’s holiest day, Yom Kippur, is also one of the most solemn holidays of the year. It is the conclusion of the 10-day ‘Days of Awe,’ which starts on Rosh Hashanah, the other major High Holy Day that commemorates the Jewish New Year.
Yom Kippur, which translates to ‘Day of Atonement’ in English, is a day dedicated to asking for forgiveness and confessing wrongs done during the previous year.
IDF said: “On the holiest holiday for the Jewish people, approx. 320 projectiles were fired by Hezbollah toward Israeli civilians.
