Israel V Hamas: ‘Rumours about rescue of hostages spreading’ – Hagari

Israel Defence Forces (IDF) Spokesperson, Daniel Hagari, has cautioned on “spreading rumours about rescue of hostages” which he said, “that harm the families of the abductees and the public”.

Via a video, following the elimination of Yahya Sinwar, leader of Hamas, the IDF Spox, said, “101 hostages still remain in Gaza in brutal conditions.”

Hagari added, “we will not rest until we bring home all our hostages by any means.”

IDF announced the elimination of Sinwar on Thursday 17 October, 2024; the Hamas leader was killed in Gaza.

According to Hagari: “In recent hours, unfounded rumors about the rescue of hostages have been spreading.

I ask the public to listen to the announcements of the official authorities only and to avoid spreading false rumors that harm the families of the abductees and the public.”
