The Israeli PM said, “we suffered a terrible blow”, adding, “the whole world laughs at the blows you inflict on our enemies and I salute you and tell you: you are the generation of victory.”
He prayed, “Together we will fight and together we will win – with God’s help.”
More than 40,000 people, including women and children have died in Gaza since the fighting started.
The fighting between Israel and Hamas started in the early hours of Saturday 7 October, 2023 after Hamas struck the Southern region of Israel by surprise, killing hundreds of Israelis, and taking many others hostage.
Israel, in one of its retaliatory actions, imposed a siege on the Gaza Strip, which prevents necessities such as clean water, food, medicine, electricity and so on from entering the city.
According to PM Netanyahu: “Today with IDF soldiers at the northern border. A few meters from here are their friends across the border, dismantling the terrorist infrastructure that Hezbollah prepared to attack our settlements.
I told them: You are the heroes of glory. You – together with your friends, the IDF soldiers and the security forces in Gaza, in the Yosh, in the entire area – you create wonders, you are lions.
A year ago we suffered a terrible blow. In the past 12 months, we are changing reality from end to end. The whole world laughs at the blows you inflict on our enemies and I salute you and tell you: you are the generation of victory.
Together we will fight and together we will win – with God’s help.”
