President of Israel, Isaac Herzog, calls on the world to support Israel in its fighting against “its enemies” as Israel remembers those lost and “101 hostages still held in Gaza” |
He made the call on Monday 7 October, 2024 as “Israel remembers those we have lost, and the 101 hostages still held in brutal captivity in Gaza.”
The fighting between Israel and Hamas started in the morning of Saturday 7 October, 2023 after Hamas launched a surprise attack on the Southern region of Israel, killing hundreds of Israelis and taking many others hostage.
According to the Office of the President of Israel: “A year on from the massacre, Israel remembers those we have lost, and the 101 hostages still held in brutal captivity in Gaza.
As part of a tour of the Gaza border communities, President @Isaac_Herzog visited the site of the massacre at the Nova Festival: “October 7, 2023, is a day that should live in infamy. The world must support Israel against its enemies for a better future for the region.””
