Russia’s warning to its citizens is coming following Iran’s attacks at Israel on Tuesday 1 October, 2024.
Iran fired “200 ballistic missiles of various types at Israel”, and a confirmation from Israel Defence Forces (IDF) Spokesperson, Daniel Hagari, revealed, the missiles “hit central and southern Israel”; forcing Israelis to take cover in bomb shelters.
Via a statement, Russia In Israel warned: “Due to the sharp deterioration of the security situation, the Russian Embassy in Israel strongly recommends that all Russian citizens comply with the instructions of the Home Front Command, remain in safe places and do not leave them until notified by official authorities.
• We once again remind you of the recommendation, in effect since 2023, for Russian citizens to refrain from visiting Israel unless absolutely necessary.
• Russian citizens wishing to leave Israel can use commercial flights through Ben Gurion International Airport, which continues to operate normally.”
