The statement by IDF is coming after Iranian missiles fired “directly from Iranian soil central and southern Israel”.
On Tuesday 1 October, Iran launched “200 ballistic missiles of various types” at Israel, as disclosed by Iran Military.
The Iranian missiles were launched over the Old City in Jerusalem, forcing thousands of Israelis to take cover in bomb shelters.
Israel has expressed gratitude to the United States (US) for its help in defending Israel against the Iranian ballistic missiles.
Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, described Iran’s attack at Israel as “a big mistake”, adding, “will pay for it”.
