“I emphasized the crucial role they must play in delivering governance to the grassroots, urging them to ensure that transparency, accountability, and unity become the cornerstones of their administration. Governance at the local level requires harmonious collaboration with the people, and I called on them to eschew rancor and division, working instead for the collective good of their communities.
Their presence in the community is not just symbolic but essential for understanding and addressing local needs. Therefore, I reminded the elected officials of the importance of staying close to the people they serve while assuring them of State and Federal Government’s provision of necessary support to ensure their success in this vital mission of grassroots governance.”
