Delta State: Governor Oborevwori disburse over ₦2b to boost agricultural production and food security

Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, has “launched initiatives to boost agricultural production and food security in the state.”

Oborevwori “announced the disbursement of more than N2 billion Special Agricultural Intervention Fund to farmers, which will provide essential inputs like fertilizers and farm implements”.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori @RtHonSheriff of Delta State has launched initiatives to boost agricultural production and food security in the state. He has announced the disbursement of more than N2 billion Special Agricultural Intervention Fund to farmers, which will provide essential inputs like fertilizers and farm implements. 


Additionally, Oborevwori’s administration has empowered more than 6,020 farmers with agricultural inputs under the Result Area 2 – FADAMA (Food Security) of the Delta Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus (D-CARES) program. This initiative aims to enhance food production, increase household incomes, and improve the livelihood of thousands of Deltans.


These initiatives demonstrate Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to supporting farmers and promoting agricultural development in Delta State.”
