The Belgian manager made the statement at his press conference ahead of Bayern Munich’s top flight encounter against Stuttgart on Saturday.
Kompany’s Bayern Munich will play against VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga 2024/25 match at Allianz Arena on Saturday 19 October, 2024 at 17:30 (WAT).
At his press conference, Kompany said:
On Stuttgart…
“Stuttgart have shown what they’re capable of. When you look at their games, they always want to play their way. They always apply a lot of pressure and want to play their way through. They’re a good team. Hopefully it’ll be a good game.”
Fitness Update…
“Everyone’s come back from the international break fit. Unfortunately, not everyone is 100 percent ready to play. Jamal Musiala won’t be involved. We need to wait and see with Dayot Upamecano. We’ll hopefully have the whole squad back together in the coming weeks.”
About his style of play…
“I come from Belgium. We’re normally very pragmatic. We need to always try to optimise things. Changing everything up would be silly, just because results haven’t worked out. We’ll keep fighting to win lots of games.”
