Empoli will lock horns with Juventus in the Serie A 2024/25 match at Stadio Carlo Castellano at 17:00 WAT.
At his press conference, Coach Motta said: “We’re doing well, we’ve had two very good weeks of training. I’m happy that so many stayed with us, but also those who were on the national team played and gained experience. Everyone is in good condition and I’m happy because we have almost everyone available.
“From the start we’ve known what our schedule would be: tomorrow we are focused on the 90 minutes ahead of us, it is a serious game against a good team. We have prepared well for this challenge and we are ready to take them on.
“Koopmeiners and Douglas Luiz are two great players, as are the others in the squad: tomorrow I will decide who will start, but for us, we are fortunate to have them available.
“The Champions League does not change anything in terms of our team’s turnover: we play, we train, we recover and from game to game and we will be focused, ready to give our all and do our job well.
“The team is growing from a technical aspect, but we can do better: Empoli defends with a low block, and we have to be good at playing with the ball, creating chances, but also ensuring we finish them, while not forgetting our defensive transition.”
