It was a battle between two Super Eagles legends, Finidi George of Rivers United, and Emmanuel Amuneke of Heartland FC.
Finidi George’s side opened scoring early, in the 4th minute through Taofeek Olaniyi, however, the Owerri-based club, levelled in the 45+3′ through C. Molokwu.
The hosts took the lead again when Kabir Abdullahi found the back of the net in the 68th minute; and Abdullahi sealed victory in the 4th minute of additional time for the Pride of Rivers.
