Ahead of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day Anniversary, Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, held an Interdenominational Church Service in Port Harcourt.
According to Governor Fubara: “As part of activities to mark the country’s 64th Independence Anniversary, we held an Interdenominational Church Service at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Garrison, Port Harcourt.
“It was a moment to reflect on our journey both as a State and a nation within the past year. It was nostalgic to reminisce on the events of October last year and its valuable lessons and coincidences.
“In all, we thank God for the resilience of Rivers people in standing with the truth and keeping faith in us to serve them diligently.
They are appreciative of our commitment to improving the lives and welfare of our people.
“We remain committed to the fact that we won’t mortgage their interest but will continue to ensure that Rivers State is developed and that the people are uplifted.”
