The exercise aimed “to assess the readiness and coordination of various stakeholders during an emergency.”
According to NEMA: “The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) South South, led by Zonal Coordinator Adebiyi Babatunde Razaq, participated in a plane crash simulation at the Port Harcourt International Airport on September 5, 2024. The exercise, organized by the
“Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), aimed to assess the readiness and coordination of various stakeholders during an emergency. After the simulation, a debriefing was held at the Emergency Operation Center, where participants identified areas needing improvement,
“including issues with color coding differentiation, the locked entrance gate to the incident scene, and inadequate response from some contacted stakeholders.”
