Mbappe scored from the spot for Real Madrid in the 75th minute after Vinicius Junior had opened scoring in the 58th minute, also from the penalty spot, helping Carlo Ancelotti’s side cart all three points from the Reale Arena on Saturday 14 September, 2024.
Real Madrid players and head coach have reacted following their 2-0 win over Real Sociedad.
In their post-victory comments:
Thibaut Courtois, goalkeeper, said: “It was a very important win.”
Kylian Mbappe, forward, said: “We understood that the game was going to be difficult and in the end we won.”
Carlo Ancelotti, head coach, said: “We held on, we suffered and we were committed.”
