This is coming following the explosions of communication devices used by Hezbollah in Lebanon on Tuesday and Wednesday, thought to be conducted by Israel.
In total, the two-phase explosions killed more than thirty (30) people and injured more than 3,000 across Lebanon; the injured were rushed to various hospitals across the country to avoid overcrowding.
Gallant disclosed: “Spoke overnight with
@secdef to reflect on the strategic, regional picture and to brief the Secretary on IDF operations in the southern and northern arenas, focusing on Israel’s defense against Hezbollah threats.
I expressed my appreciation to the Secretary for his unwavering commitment to Israel’s security and contribution to the U.S.-Israel alliance.”
The Israeli Defence Minister earlier said, Israel is fighting a “new phase in the war – we are allocating resources and forces to the northern arena and our mission is clear: ensuring the safe return of Israel’s northern communities to their homes.”
