Via a press statement, the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) has sent its congratulations to its Edo State Gubernatorial candidate, Monday Okpebholo, who emerged victorious in the “keenly contested” Edo State Governorship Election 2024.

Okpebholo defeated Asue Ighodalo of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party (LP) to become Edo State Governor-Elect; he was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to the APC: “Senator Monday Okpebholo’s @m_akpakomiza well-deserved victory in the keenly contested election is an attestation that your message of hope and restoration resonated with the good people of Edo State.”
