Governor-Elect of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, alongside his Deputy, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, have collected their Certificates of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Okpebholo was announced winner of the Edo State Governorship Election 2024 which held on Saturday 21 September, 2024 by INEC; the APC candidate defeated Asue Ighodalo of the PDP, Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party (LP), to emerge Governor-Elect of Edo State.
According to the ruling, All Progressives Congress (APC): “Edo State Governor-Elect, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, and Deputy, Hon. Dennis Idahosa collected their Certificates of Return from @inecnigeria. Accompanied by the National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje & Party leaders, they presented their certificates to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
