Bayern Munich manager, Vincent Kompany, has admitted, the top flight encounter between his side and Bayer Leverkusen “won’t be easy”.

The Belgian said, “obviously it won’t be easy. We want to test ourselves against a good opponent at the Allianz Arena.”
At his press conference ahead of the match against Xabi Alonso’s Black and Reds, Kompany said, “Bayern Munich are always the favorites.”
Bayern Munich will play against reigning German Kings, Bayer Leverkusen, in the Bundesliga 2024/25 match at Allianz Arena on Saturday 28 September, 2024 at 17:30 (WAT).
At his press conference, Bavarians manager, Kompany, said:
On the match against Bayer Leverkusen…
“We’re looking forward to the game. Obviously it won’t be easy. We want to test ourselves against a good opponent at the Allianz Arena. Bayern are always the favourites. We’re looking forward to playing against the champions and want to win.”
On preparations so far…
“We’ve watched a lot of matches. We always look to focus on our strengths. Every game from the past is additional information. Leverkusen are a good team. We’ll do all we can to support the team alongside the fans so we can have a special day of football on Saturday.”
On his motivation for the match against Bayer Leverkusen…
“We’re top of the table and have the chance to do something for our fans. Everything else isn’t important to me. I like to see others have success when they get the maximum out of themselves, because I know how tough it is. I want to do my thing and will do all I can for it.”
Austrian former footballer and current Bayern Munich Sporting Director, Christoph Freund, said: “We’re very excited. It’s a big game. The previous games were also important as well. Our displays so far have allowed us to create confidence. We’re looking forward to an important game.”
