Bayer Leverkusen will slug it out with Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga 2024/25 match at Allianz Arena on Saturday 28 September, 2024 at 17:30 (WAT).
The Black and Reds who admitted Bayern Munich are a “goal-hungry” club with an enormous level of “confidence” said via its official website, bayer04.de:
League leaders Bayern Munich entertain second-placed and last year’s double winners Bayer 04 in front of a full house at the Allianz Arena on Saturday.
FC Bayern have clocked up an impressive 20 goals in their last three matches.
A 6-1 win away to newly promoted Holstein Kiel was followed by a 9-2 victory over Dynamo Zagreb at home in the Champions League and last weekend saw a 5-0 win away to Werder Bremen. FC Bayern have equalled the best start for a team in the history of the Bundesliga with four wins from four Bundesliga games and a goal difference of +13 (16-3). That return from four matches was last achieved by Bayern Munich (2016/17) and VfB Stuttgart (1996 – 97).
Alonso said: “It’s a big game, maybe the hardest in the season so far. We want to be competitive and show a complete performance. In the Allianz Arena you need to bring your best performance.”
