Ighodalo lost to Monday Okpebholo of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Edo State Governorship Election 2024.
Following his defeat to Okpebholo, the PDP Edo Guber candidate praised God “for the opportunity.”
Ighodalo wrote: “Thank you, God, for life and for the wonderful things you do for me.
I am grateful for the opportunity to always hear your word and deepen my faith in you.
You are God all by yourself.”
