Akwa Ibom State: Governor Eno assent to amendment of the Traditional Rulers Law

Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, has assented to the amendment of the Traditional Rulers Law Cap Akwa Ibom State.

He said, the move now “provides for the rotation of the seat of the President General, ensuring inclusivity and fairness in our traditional institutions”, and assured commitment “to promoting equity across all levels of leadership in Akwa Ibom”.

According Governor Eno: “I’m pleased to announce that I have assented to the amendment of the Traditional Rulers Law Cap 155 Laws of Akwa Ibom State. 


This important update, which was recently passed by the State House of Assembly, now provides for the rotation of the seat of the President General, ensuring inclusivity and fairness in our traditional institutions. 


We remain committed to promoting equity across all levels of leadership in Akwa Ibom.”
