Goalscorers, Federico Valverde and Kylian Mbappe, have made their comments following Real Madrid’s victory over Atalanta in the Uefa Super Cup 2024.

At National Stadium, Warsaw, Poland on Wednesday 14 August, 2024, Carlo Ancelotti’s side beat Atalanta 2-0 to lift the trophy with Valverde opening scoring in the 59th minute and Mbappe sealing victory in the 68th minute.
It was Mbappe’s debut for Real Madrid, and he found the back of the net as well as lifted his first trophy with the Spanish Kings.
The Frenchman said, he has “been waiting for this moment for a long time.”
In his post-victory comments, Mbappe said: “It was a great night, I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time.”
Federico confessed, it was “difficult” playing against Atalanta, however, the victory came because Madrid fielded “as a group”.
In his post-victory comments, Federico said: “Winning the match was always going to be difficult and it was, but we pulled it off as a group.”
President of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, who took a shot with the Uefa Super Cup trophy said, the victory will provide the “energy” Madrid needs for the new season (2024/25).
