Chelsea Football Club has expressed deep sadness after learning of the passing of former England nationally football team, Sven-Göran Eriksson.

Eriksson died after a long illness; he emerged as the first foreign manager of England in 2001.
Chelsea wrote: “Everyone at Chelsea Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Sven-Göran Eriksson.
Our thoughts are with Sven’s family and friends at this tremendously sad time.”
