Manchester City Spanish manager, Pep Guardiola, has confirmed, Phil Foden remains a doubt for the top flight match at West Ham United.

West Ham United will play against Manchester City in the Premier League 2024/25 game at London Stadium on Saturday 31 August, 2024.
At the press conference ahead of the encounter in London, Guardiola said, “Rodri is much better”, adding, “Phil (Foden) still doesn’t feel good”.
Guardiola said:
On Ilkay Gundogan, “He [Ilkay Gundogan] needs one minute – no more than that – to settle. Everyone knows [his influence]. He is top class and he knows the mechanics of what we do.”
On players fitness for the West Ham game, “Rodri is much better. (Mateo) Kovacic as well. Phil (Foden) still doesn’t feel good. The rest are okay.”
On Rodri winning the Ballon d’Or, “We would be delighted – he deserves it. But maybe another one deserves it too. Rodri has done not just one season but many seasons and he has won with Spain at the Euros but many players have had good seasons too.”
